Logging In to the jPC for the First Time

The jPC operating system is produced with the following default user:

• username: admin
• password: comfile

It is highly recommend that this password be changed with the passwd command before connecting the jPC to any network.

admin@jpc$ passwd
Changing password for admin.
Current password: {current_password}
New password:  {new_password}
Retype new password:  {new_password}
passwd: password updated successfully

Use one of the following methods to get access to a terminal shell prior to connecting to a network.

• Use a terminal emulator program and connect to the USB-C console port.
• Enable the SSH daemon in the jPC's default administration program, and then use an Ethernet cable to directly connect a PC to the jPC's Ethernet port for Link-Local access.
