The ComfileHMI has a built-in simulator that can be used to test the project on the host PC before deploying it to the ComfileHMI hardware.

To activate the simulator, simply press the Simulator icon in the main toolbar, as illustrated below.

You should see the simulator window appear as pictured below.

Press the Settings button to configure the host PC's COM port. The PC will interface to the PLC connected to that COM port.

When the simulator is executed, it will automatically create a folder at C:\HMISimul. The simulator will need access to that folder.
