CFNET stands for Comfile Network, a specification developed by Comfile Technology.
It is a unified industrial I/O system designed to make various I/O modules interoperable so they can be used consistently across different environments.
Although processors vary widely—ranging from 8-bit and 32-bit MCUs to Raspberry Pi (Linux) or Windows PCs—the actual I/O needs are largely similar:
Digital I/O for switches and relays
Analog inputs for sensors
Analog outputs for controlling devices like motors or LEDs
CFNET standardizes these common I/O functions into a single platform, allowing the same modules to work with virtually any processor.
